Dear Women’s Ministries Leaders:

Have you ever doubted that God’s promises are really intended for you personally? Perhaps you have grown angry with God when your prayers were not answered as you desired. If you have ever been discouraged about prayer, this year’s Day of Prayer sermon is for you. It’s about the Phoenician woman in Matthew 15 who boldly persisted in asking Jesus for healing for her daughter until He commended her for her faith and granted the desired healing.

Probably all of us have had times of doubt, but we can take courage from Jesus’ dealings with this Gentile woman. He does reward faith and persistence in prayer. May this year’s Day of Prayer resource kit be the catalyst for making prayer a top priority in your life and in the lives of the women of your church.
